Match preview: Queens Park Rangers vs Sheffield Wednesday

Wednesday will be looking to extended their winning streak to four matches on Easter Monday at Loftus Road.

After a scrappy 1-0 victory on Friday, the Owls will be looking to register a more convincing performance and retain a position in the top six.

QPR, however, have lost their last four matches, the most recent a 2-1 defeat to Bristol City.

The Owls head into the fixture with a slight psychological edge as they won the reverse fixture 1-0. Gary Hooper netted five minutes before half-time to give the hosts’ the three points.

Wednesday’s last trip to Loftus Road ended goalless but was overshadowed by controversy as Clint Hill seemed to have fouled Modou Sougou but no foul was given. The Senegalese winger then had to be stretchered off. Lucas João was then denied a penalty after a tangle with Paul Konchesky.
