Semedo won his only club honour with the Owls – finishing runner-up in League One in 2011/12. In the same season, he also won Wednesday’s Player of the Year and the League One PFA Fans’ Player of the Year award. A season earlier, he won Player of the Year with Charlton Athletic.

During the course of his career, the Portuguese midfielder has played 360 matches and scored 7 goals.

FACT: José Semedo has only been sent off once for the Owls. This happened in the 2013/14 season in a 1-1 draw at Bolton Wanderers.
